WEBARYX Compta
Your clients’ books, from the document to the tax return.
WEBARYX Compta keeps the books of a Tunisian accounting firm: it reads the documents you upload, redoes their arithmetic, posts them in double entry on the Tunisian chart of accounts, stamps the official monthly return form and produces NC 01 financial statements — leaving blank, and saying why, everything it could not establish.
Who it is for
Accounting firms and accountants in Tunisia handling several client files: invoices as PDFs or scans, Excel workbooks filled in by clients, payslips as PDFs, CNSS statements, bank amortisation schedules, lease agreements. Each accountant is fully in charge of the files assigned to them, and sees nothing of the others.
What the software does
Seven areas, as shipped today.
Double-entry bookkeeping on the Tunisian chart
A Tunisian chart and journals in place the moment a file is opened, and a single door through which every entry passes.
- 115 accounts from the NC 01 nomenclature and 7 journals (ACH, VTE, BQ, CAI, PAIE, OD, AN) in place from the start, extendable on screen.
- The traps of the Tunisian chart are wired in: 425 for net pay, 532 for the bank, 647 for employer CNSS — the opposite of the French chart.
- An unbalanced entry is refused by a sentence giving both totals, the gap in dinars, and which side to add to.
- A validated entry is final (NC 01 §48): it is reversed, never deleted.
- General ledger, a six-column trial balance collapsible from the 7 classes down to the account, and the NC 01 controls rendered with the statement.
From documents to entries: upload, reading and checks
The accountant uploads documents in batches; the software reads what it can, redoes all the arithmetic and flags every discrepancy.
- Batch upload of PDF, Word, PNG, JPEG and TIFF. The format is decided on the file’s bytes, not on its extension.
- Cardinal rule: a total that was not read stays empty and shows as “not read”, never “0.000”. An accountant who sees an empty box fills it in; one who sees 0.000 believes it.
- Arithmetic is redone on integer millimes: lines, net total, VAT per rate, stamp duty, gross total, net payable. Every message gives the gap as a figure.
- Tax ID, SIREN, SIRET, VAT number, IBAN and RIB are recomputed through their check digit.
- Three duplicate nets: the same file, the same document, and strong resemblance.
- Invoices can also arrive through the firm’s Excel template, and go through exactly the same checks.
The monthly return on the official form
The product stamps the Ministry of Finance’s blank form instead of redrawing it, and says before printing which box it fills and which it leaves.
- The blank official form (2023 edition, 12 pages) is embedded as is: frames, Arabic labels and emblems are the administration’s own.
- 48 boxes served: 41 filled by the software, 7 left for the accountant to enter.
- When printed, everything the administration printed is repainted in pink and what the software writes stays black: you can tell at a glance where each figure comes from.
- A box the product cannot serve keeps the form’s dotted line: writing “0.000” there would assert a nil amount nobody established.
- For withholding tax, the XML file for the TEJ platform is produced and validated against the official schemas before being offered.
Payroll and CNSS: read, recompute, reconcile
The firm imports payslips as PDFs; the product reads them, recomputes them to flag a discrepancy, derives the entries and reconciles payroll against CNSS statements.
- A single PDF covering the whole month produces one record per employee; a faulty payslip is named and the others still go through.
- Recomputation flags, it never fills in: missing CNSS, a rate outside the scale, income tax departing from that year’s scale, a net figure that does not add up.
- Three payroll entries per month, with account 425 broken down employee by employee — which gives the payroll subsidiary ledger.
- Reconciliation per employee and per quarter against CNSS statements: a gap is only computed when both sources exist.
NC 01 financial statements
Balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement and the depreciation schedule with their notes, all built from a single reading of the entries.
- Four statements plus the depreciation annex and the notes, from one single reading: the three statements cannot contradict each other.
- Each account is placed by its number AND the sign of its balance; no offsetting between assets and liabilities.
- 17 line items the product admits it cannot establish are opened for entry, each with its reason written out.
- A dedicated page lists every line item that came out without an amount, with its reason — blank boxes are not left unexplained.
- No automatic balancing: a balance sheet that does not tie out is issued with its gap as a figure. Export to PDF or .xlsx.
Loans, leasing and fixed assets
Schedules and depreciation plans come in as reference data: nothing posts itself.
- An 84-instalment schedule uploaded today but starting twenty months ago is stored in full, without a single entry being posted.
- A “current month” screen in three lists that never blur together: the month requested, earlier unvalidated months with their age, and rows whose date was not read.
- Until the accountant has settled how a lease qualifies (NC 41), no rent entry is proposed.
- The fixed-asset register attaches to the entry already posted rather than posting it again — otherwise assets would be doubled with no control catching it.
- Accounts, journal and four tax-law thresholds are set per file, with no redeployment: a threshold frozen in code becomes wrong with the next finance act.
The firm: files, rights and traceability
Every client file is partitioned by named assignment enforced server-side, and every action leaves a line in the audit log.
- Five ranked roles, but a role grants access to no file by itself: partitioning is by assignment.
- Three distinct rights on a file: viewing it, working in it, configuring its accounting.
- 87 named actions in the audit log, with the author, time, file and object — browsable as a table with six stackable filters.
- The log is written outside the business transaction: it survives a rollback and can never make the action it records fail.
- Deactivating an account cuts access at the next request, not at the next sign-in.
